Looks well made - ice cream will freeze safely in the summer heat

This is clearly a Chinese compressor fridge freezer. It seems suitable for car camping but probably not for land travelers or vans. If you fall into either of those two categories, I'd go for something more robust like Dometic. I think this is gear you get what you pay for. That being said, I bought it on day one during the Revain sale and immediately took it on a week-long hike at Airventure. This fridge came on a small plane to an air show and I spent a whole week on it on a Goal Zero Yeti 1000 and solar panels without a single problem. Since the Yeti could measure power consumption in watts, I was curious to see how high the power consumption is. When the compressor starts, the peak power reaches 60 watts and then drops to 40-50 watts. When the compressor was idling, the fan consumed only 3-4 watts. The addition of pre-chilled bottled water and ice cream allowed everything to be kept cold/frozen for the duration of the show. The ice stayed solid and solid. The water was pretty cold so it does what they said. It was really nice to be able to use the app and set/reset the temperature on both sides. The application is functional but not beautiful. English to Chinese translations need a little help for now. When I got home I tried single partition mode and it worked fine there too. The app was smart enough to know I had removed the separator and only allowed a temperature setting when the separator was removed. I ran some basic tests with a thermometer and the unit reached the set temperatures plus or minus a degree. The company has a device that shows the temperature measured under/on the floor, so items placed above it take longer to reach the set temperature, but eventually they did. Now the only caveat. Twice while using this I got an E2 error. In both cases, this happened after the device had been left on for a few hours, then unplugged for transport, then plugged back in. In both cases, the E2 cleared itself within minutes of being powered on and sitting on a table. The fan might have iced over or been pushed during movement, but that's a bit of a concern. I tried to reproduce the conditions to get the error again and I couldn't. I called support and spoke to a real person about it. They were willing to trade it but we agreed to see it and if I could replicate it we would reconsider trading. In my opinion, this was a positive indicator of the company's level of service. Overall I am very happy with it and would buy it again.
