Review on Nipple Shield Breastfeeding Latch Inverted Feeding by Jen Jensen

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The pacifier part is HUGE

I like the fact that it stretches across the entire breast. My baby is bottle fed but is learning to feed by mouth. The problem is that she doesn't know how to open her mouth to let something in, even if she wants to. And after you manage to get it in her mouth, she smacks him like she's frustrated because she doesn't know how to make him do what she wants. So with other nipple shields it's incredibly difficult to breastfeed because I've been trying to hold the shield, open the baby's mouth and push the breast in, making sure it's over her tongue and not under it, and all at the same time. and then i hold it. The head is immobile to keep it from tipping backwards or sideways, negating all the work that went into putting it in your mouth. I resorted to gluing the shields to my chest. I don't have to do it with that. It's pretty hard to get up to your chest, but once it's on it stays in place, thank goodness. . Not everyone has huge nipples and that comes from those who have XL nipples and use 30mm funnels for Medela pumps. You really have to take into account that women have different nipple sizes, not just different breast sizes, and make the nipple part a little bit smaller. Otherwise an excellent product.
