Review on 18-Piece Set of Pyrex Simply Store Meal Prep Glass Food Storage Containers with BPA Free Lids - Oven Safe and Multicolored by Julpikz Bellemy

Received this Pyrex kit around June 17th so only used it a few times. "Microwave safe" is written on the bottom of the glass bowl. Tonight when I was heating food in the microwave, the bowl exploded. The cooking time was set to 2 minutes. He had one of those plastic microwave lids that went over the bowl to cover the food. Less than a minute later, a very loud explosion occurred. I immediately opened the microwave door. This photo was taken right after removing the lid. The microwave is brand new and has never had any problems with it. The explosion left gray marks inside the microwave. It still works but I'm concerned it may show signs of damage. Just take a look. I am completely stunned. I've been using Pyrex for many years. My son has the same set and has microwaved food countless times and this has never happened. After that I did a little research and found a mention of a pyrex explosion in the furnace. I would skip this unless you're just using it to store leftovers in the fridge.
