I bought this projector for a number of reasons: public viewing/education, home theater. It is used in part in a very remote area of Central America with no infrastructure to display instructional videos and evangelism materials outdoors. You might not think of it as portable, but most "portable/with built-in batteries" projectors just aren't bright enough. I will use a rechargeable battery that can be used for several hours. So far I've only tried it at home. Watch something indoors, against the wall, with open curtains or brighter light) (I haven't tried it outside yet, but it will be day/night when I do, so it should be fine) + Built-in Android -TV / possibility connectivity I like it so far (I used an external 1TB SSD for video playback and tried different streaming apps) (** some caveats) + I'm happy with the size + the sound: I like it built-in audio because of its size and portability it offers, it can seem strange if the projector is not in front or behind you as the sound comes from one side. (***some limitations with other audio options) Cons:-**Netflix is not natively supported (It's not hard to get it through the Desktop Manager app. But most xgimi manuals will tell you to use xtv , which I couldn't find in the play store, and apk didn't help - I think it was renamed to desktop manager, since it looks and does the same thing) - auto keystone correction didn't work for me at all, it always is failed and I've tried different locations/walls - which I don't care as manual adjustment is easy and quick - sometimes auto sharpening worked, I had to try several times, but there's no manual mode! - So I disabled auto-sharpen on load/after motion, if I don't move it's not necessary.- *** No settings available to compensate for audio delay with Bluetooth speakers. I've tried connecting Bluetooth stereo speakers and they have audio lag (as they need to sync to stereo). Some Bluetooth speakers only have a delay, even without stereo. So you wouldn't be able to use them if that's the case. - ***The volume of my speakers can be controlled via bluetooth, but that doesn't work with the projector, it only controls the volume of the audio that is sent to the speaker ( I just set the speakers to maximum and adjust the output via the projector) - The remotes on most of my projectors have backlit buttons, it would be nice to have them but not really necessary. This is my first "built-in" smart projector. I would buy it again as "smart" is not the most important thing for me. Also, it just came out and some issues can be fixed with updates.
