I bought this to build a transport tray for 40k models. The magnets on the bases of my minis are EXACTLY 2.6mm thick and are perfectly flush with the base, so they should stick to the magnetic sheet as best as possible. However, they are so weak that they slip with every movement and hardly hold up better than on a bare surface. My minis stick almost too tightly to a regular metal surface so it's not the magnets in the mini, those sheets are just useless. I'll buy another brand and see if they work or if I'm just using an old cookie cutter!
