The first merino wool socks I bought in the store (for sweaty feet) were too thin AND they didn't have a lot of merino wool compared to other materials - so they didn't absorb moisture well. So I went to the online store to find this and another one to try. I ordered the size I was hoping would fit me (I have slim legs and most socks are too long: down as 6-7 were cut off) and they fit great until I washed/dried them have. Now they are a little shortened as they have sat down a bit as they are made of thicker material; but the moisture absorption is exactly where I had hoped. The fingers and healing material are thicker than I expected, but the socks are very comfortable to wear. Yes, my feet do sweat, but I don't feel as uncomfortable as I do in normal women's/sports socks. Taking off your shoes at breaks and lunch, being on your feet all day isn't as painful as it used to be. When I touch my hand, my socks feel wet, but my feet aren't as uncomfortably sore as they used to be. :) I would buy them again but in the next size up (hoping they aren't too big/long like 99% of the socks I buy). Another pair of MW socks from another brand are also too long. thin and my feet feel uncomfortably wet. ***sighs So when buying merino wool socks, pay attention to the MW percentage in the socks and where the wool is for your needs. Update: 04/13/19 Moisture wicking is amazing. No smelly stains to deal with every night after work. Just bought new shoes and they fit perfectly; but unfortunately there is very little room for those thicker and more comfortable moisture-wicking socks. Back to normal cotton socks---after 3 days I took off my shoes and HORRIBLE! My feet stank. boooo That tells me how good these socks are, overall they are comfortable, moisture wicking and keep odor to a minimum. )
