Only time will tell the true durability and reliability of this compressor, but the air conditioning in my 2000 Tahoe (with rear air conditioning) blows nice and cold, the compressor is quiet and works as it should. Don't fall for the "defroster" intimidation tactic that Four Seasons urges its customers to use. Clogging is only a problem for compressors that are left unused for weeks or even months and as long as you run the air conditioner/defroster once a day or every day. As long as you drive your car, you will never experience a so-called "problem" problem.
