A large hard drive, copied almost a terabyte of personal data onto it and erased it from other media. Less than a month passed and the disk began to squeak, after which it quickly died. I did not drop the disc, I handled it carefully. There used to be WD, successfully surviving several years and many thousands of kilometers of travel. I fell for a larger disk and then an epic fail happened :( Seagate support offers to send the disc by mail, they will send a replacement. In official documents, they immediately write that all data will be deleted, the new disk will be absolutely clean, and your personal data will be lost forever. Why do I need a new drive that will just as suddenly lose all the data? Seagate - never again! I read reviews on a foreign site about this particular model - many write that the disk stops working in the first months! Be careful! I dismantled the disk with the hope of getting the data, I thought the head was stuck. No, the problem is different, probably the head has broken, stopped reading the disk. Unfortunately, I did not see bad reviews about this disc before buying. Money down the drain, data lost. Terrible experience.
