Let me use my Surface on my lap

As a small person, I can't comfortably use my Surface on my lap with the keyboard open - the kickstand digs into my kneecaps and the device is always at risk to fall backwards. I was hoping that this case would solve this problem for me and allow me to use my Surface without a separate bulky lap table, and it really does! The fact that there is a flat, somewhat padded surface that wraps around the bottom edges of the stand and the surface makes it stable and comfortable even when I'm in a higher chair and lean my legs down. This case was just what I needed to utilize the surface area on my knees. However, there are a few things that could potentially pose a problem depending on how you use your Surface. The case is a bit thicker than I thought, with an overall thickness of about 1.25 inches at the top when closed, which might get in the way of Surface's ultra-slim carrying cases. Even though the case opens/closes very easily with the surface on the inside, inserting and removing the surface is cumbersome enough that you don't want to do it all the time. Finally, the extra thickness of the case keeps the keyboard from getting in the way To flip the back cover to use the Surface in a more formal tablet style with a case, you'll first need to remove the keyboard.
