I don't usually have the time or inclination to write product reviews; I hope that my recent experience with products containing Feliway will save others countless hours of frustration and expense. My partner and I live in a fairly large apartment with two cats; Bengal and the DSH rescue. We have had both cats for almost a year and have happy and loving homes. Throughout this time we have used a Feliway diffuser (replaced every month), fed them high quality grain free food, provided plenty of scratching posts/toys and I have never had a problem. As usual, I noticed a two-pack that was slightly cheaper than the single product I had previously purchased. Believing it to be the same item, I bought it. In just a day after replacing a Feliway diffuser with a new product, our loving, adorable corners have turned into biting neurotic bullies. Anxiety looks different when you weigh 20 pounds. from Bengal (with claws twice the size of a normal house cat) try to climb on your foot like a scratching post! Annoyed, I searched the internet for an explanation. I realized that while the products I bought look almost the same, contain almost identical ingredients, and are both meant to be used with a Feliway diffuser; In fact, they are two different products from two different manufacturers (Ceva and Comfort Zone) made in different countries. My loved ones are back (ugh!). What I found is that the Feliway brand refill "Ceva" with the ingredient list formulated as "F3 Cat Pheromone Facial Analogue Fraction" is a product that works. The branded version "Comfort Zone" with ingredients formulated as "Cat Facial Pheromone Analog" will not work. The ingredients sound very similar, so I can't explain why one should work and the other not (I'm not a chemist). This is just based on my own experience. There are several Revain reviews claiming different results from Feliway and I can't help but believe that this is due to the difference in quality between the two products. I hope this review sheds light on this topic and helps others to buy the drug. the right product to help (or just soothe) your pets. Remember that Feliway alone does not solve behavior problems; Please verify proper dietary requirements, scratching/playing needs, and possible health concerns.
