Review on ๐Ÿฅฃ Silicone Collapsible Food Storage Containers, Set of 4 Round Prep/Storage Bowls with Lids - Microwave and Freezer Safe (Blue) by Kattie Steffens

Useless piece of junk

This is the worst set of shells I have ever bought. I thought they might be a replacement for the now discontinued Aladdin clam shells. They were very well designed and a pleasure to use. This whole Kartint thing is utter nonsense, nonsense. Why? Well, two big reasons: (1) The big reason is no. 1: When you fill a bowl with food, try to put the lid on it. The bowl will most likely collapse (because it's made of very thin plastic) and dump the food on the counter or in your lap. The locking mechanism is extremely clumsy and you have to force it to do something. (2) There is no great reason. 2: The locking mechanism is made of self-destructing material. After using this bowl a few times, one arm broke in half (right side in picture) and the other arm (below) received a large crack and will soon follow its partner and break off. It's not that easy to see in the picture, but it's a bad break. Since Aladdin is no longer made, buy a decent, non-separable brand (Tupperware, Snapware, etc.). Don't assume that any collapsible brand other than Aladdin will work profitably. Sorry folks, but that's how cookies crumble!
