Currently working well but not reliably

Glad I have it but there are some issues. I live in a trailer. This mobile home I have is old, mid 80's and it had an original toilet. The old toilet had 2 pedals, which you are all familiar with; One pedal to add some water to the toilet, and then press both pedals and the bottom valve will open and water will continue to flow into the toilet to "flush" it, a bit like a normal toilet. As you probably know, most van toilets now only have one pedal, though not all. You depress the pedal a little and water drips into the bowl and "a trickle" is not my sarcasm. On this model you can press the pedal slightly to drain some water because if you push another millimeter too far (I'm being sarcastic) the valve will start to open and you'll lose the water you just put in. (You know the rule: dripping water into the bowl helps prevent feces from sticking to the sides of the bowl and starts to break down the toilet paper before flushing.) So, it goes without saying that I don't really like this toilet like it, but it works. Another problem I have is that it's thin. - the page with the normal use of the toilet. If I lose balance and fall on the toilet, it jumps right off the studs. If you lean from side to side while on it, the toilet will flex from side to side, and it's a little scary to watch. Can land on the floor of a microscopic bathroom and stare at the ceiling. I'm not happy with it but I'm mechanical and can do a number of things I don't have to do to make it work :) So although the old toilet needed a refurbishment; There were stiff hoses and broken pivots, I kept it because it's much stronger and stiffer than the El Flimzo. And if El Flimzo fails or breaks, I plan to restore the old one. The only reason I didn't was because I didn't want to waste a whole day that I needed at the time doing something else. In the end I will probably regret it. So, like I said, I'm glad I have it because the alternative isn't that great. I compared a little, ordered, and it came quickly enough; installed (after some preliminary work) and I use it daily. I'm just waiting for a problem sometime. I probably should have gone back to retro. Bad Habit: Just because you can work on something doesn't mean you should. But overall it's a largely acceptable rig.
