After modification, this chair fits well

first let me say that I am 6ft 4in tall and weigh 350lbs. I have long legs and a good sized chair that is built to support me is paramount to my comfort and productivity. I purchased this chair for use in my home office which also doubles as an entertaining area ( watching movies on a big computer screen). After the initial assembly of the chair and testing it, I felt good. My feet were flat on the floor and my legs weren't propped up like on a short chair, but it was taller than my previous chair so I had to remove the bottom keyboard tray on my desk and place the keyboard and mouse on the surface. Even when I leaned back in the chair, my feet weren't firmly planted on the floor, which is strange since I'm so tall. What can lower people experience? And, yes, before you guys dig in, if I lowered the chair as much as I could in 2 days, it would just be useless to me. I took the base and post to my garage, got out my grinder and belt sander, cut a hole a few hundredths of an inch in diameter in the base while maintaining the cone shape, and snapped the post into place. Belt grinder to conically reduce its diameter. Once I brought the post down another 1-1/2" to 2" everything was perfect. Let's move on to the next question. This chair doesn't have a headrest and I quickly realized I needed one to support my neck when watching movies. I ordered the appropriate product and clips as listed on the chair description page and, trusting that others had successfully installed a headrest with additional clips, I awaited their arrival. The clips didn't open wide enough to get around the top edge of the chair back, so back to the garage to change them. After modification, they fit, but gradually slipped off. I found that the chair back rim was a tough, heavy plastic, so I centered the headrest on the top of the backrest, marked the holes, and drilled a few threaded holes to attach the headset. It seems to work. If for some reason the screws start to loosen, I just put some epoxy on the threads and put them back in place. I needed a little modification but once everything is in place this is a great chair for me.
