Review on GE 6 Outlet Protector Extension 54638 by Patrick Johnson

I have about 6 of the old version of this power strip/surge protector. angled in the right direction - flat head so you can place the furniture to the outlet - long cord so you can use it behind the sofa and still have enough cords to plug in. The new version is more than twice as wide. It's absolutely huge. Not flat at all. The new version has NO swivel head. It is locked in the down position. :( The new version is so thick at the head that it's awkward to insert and almost impossible to insert without touching the pins when you insert them, which is incredibly dangerous. I thought I might have ordered the wrong brand, but my old one has a GE stamp at all so they only made significant changes to make the product worse. :(
