This pillow saves lives. I got my first in 2018 so can't comment on the complaint about the change in softness. Although it works fine. I think something firmer would be nice. I have it for sciatica and butt issues but the real gem is that it keeps them from coming back! As others have noted, I ended up buying a second one because it was the cat's favorite bed. So we're both happy.
