I don't think this is a quest for a magical item to help your baby fall asleep, but there is a bit of magic in this blanket. Wool is breathable, which means that even if the air temperature is slightly warmer, you can still sleep comfortably. It really helps the body regulate temperature better than other tissues. And this blanket is a little heavy, which helps the baby sleep. Our baby slept from 4-5 hours straight to 7-8 hours the first night and every night thereafter. I really believe that the weight of the blanket and the wool keeps the temperature comfortable whether it's cold or warm. I bought this because it's very difficult to cover a child with blankets and not worry about them pulling them all over their face. . Or just try to cover the baby with a blanket and keep him warm at night. I did a lot of research trying to decide between this and the 4 season wool. I finally settled on this one because it's more suitable for the winter time and we only need one blanket. I'm so glad I chose this sleeping bag. He's honestly slept better and longer every night since I bought him. I wasn't expecting this when I bought it and I was just hoping to find a warm sleeping bag that would stay on him and keep him comfortable throughout the night. We don't usually heat our house at night and that keeps it warm. He used to have cold hands when he woke up, but now his body is very warm. Cons: It only has buttons on one shoulder, making it difficult to get on and off. This is especially difficult when trying to put a sleeping baby in a sleeping bag. Also, our baby is only 5 months old and hugs his neck more than I would like and I am concerned that as he grows he will outgrow the neck area much sooner than the size of the blanket. I also find the zipper a bit bulky. I also think that this sleeping bag will be quite big and weigh too much for a baby under 3 months old.
