Easy to install and highly customizable

This is an overview of the Blink outdoor vinyl wall mount with waterproof housing. Try this product and I'm glad I did. For the new Blink outdoor security camera, no-hole mounting brackets have been designed with fully weatherproof covers. They came in a pack of three which was just what I needed. I wasted no time inserting the porch camera into one of the weatherproof housings and onto its mount. Putting everything together was quick and easy, and attaching it to the vinyl siding was even easier. Getting the camera angle right took some patience, but was more finicky than difficult. I didn't notice any noticeable camera shake, either in live view or in playback mode, even in moderate wind. The metal clips that hold everything in place appear to work as intended. These kits include everything you need for installation and more. They also include wood screws and plastic anchors in case you wish to attach the camera mounts with wood screws instead of the included side clips. And there are nine clips, even though you only use two clips per mount. This leaves you with three extra clips. It also comes with nine mounting screws for attaching clips to mounts. After using the two remaining brackets to mount the cameras to the back porch side panel and the back wall of the house, I found that with a slight modification I could screw to two of the remaining brackets at the back of a solar powered garden light and attach it to the vinyl siding in our garage. A threaded plastic ring secures a notch in the mount socket (knee) to hold it securely in place, while a threaded wheel holds the camera in the desired orientation. These mounts are designed so that you can easily remove the camera from the mount when you need to change the camera's batteries. My only real concerns about using vinyl siding clips are: (1) anyone can scurry away with cameras almost instantly and effortlessly; (2) whether they will damage the vinyl siding in high winds, especially during very cold New York state winters when the vinyl becomes a bit brittle, (3) and/or how well they hold up on a very windy day. So far, these mounts all earn five stars. As usual, I'll update my review once I have more time to test the durability and effectiveness of the bindings.
