If you sew or mend, you need this! I've been using Solvy for years - a 9 yard roll lasts almost forever because it can be cut into small, narrow pieces to fit under your machine's needle. If the fabric is not compatible with your machine, place a piece of Solvy about 2 inches wide of the desired length under the fabric. Continue sewing as usual and most likely your problem will be solved! While tissue paper can work, Solvy is better. In most cases, Solvy will come off the stitching with a few pulls when you're done, or you can dissolve it in some water in the sink if you like.
