I only bought this watch because of the sunrise function. However, this watch has many other great features. However, I've had it for a few weeks now and it hasn't affected my ability to wake up. I set it to a 20 minute sunrise, which means the light will gradually get brighter over the course of 20 minutes to mimic a real sunrise. I also set the brightness to maximum and chose the sounds of nature, which also gradually increases in volume over a set 20-minute period. I guess my body clock isn't that easy to fool. While I'm lulled to the sound of birdsong (which is much nicer than waking up to a standard alarm clock), I don't really notice the light unless I'm looking at it while lying in bed. In fact, I had to turn the clock on my bedside table to face me, because at first the light didn't bother me at all, whether I was facing the clock or not. I wake up with a natural sunrise so I was really hoping this would work, especially in the winter months, but so far it's just been an overpriced alarm clock for me. I haven't decided yet if I'll keep it to myself. I plan to try tweaking the settings as I get through the return window in hopes it eventually works, but if not I'll most likely be returning it. Kinda freaked out.
