My son lived in an apartment for a year with a regular smell that seemed to stick to all his stuff forever. About 3 years have passed and these smells are still present in his clothes and bedding. He had to go home during the pandemic and I decided to try this because I'd tried everything else without resorting to products that mask the odor with harmful chemical irritants. First I washed two of his fleece blankets. I was very hopeful because they didn't smell like anything. I've since added it to all of his underwear with little success. Cotton or flannel doesn't seem to help, but wool and fleece socks seem to help. If that saves all his fleece stuff then it's worth it and I'll keep adding it to other washes to see if it helps in the long run. The product did not work when using my fluid container on my front loader. I think it's too thick to go through the holes. I had to remove the liquid container and place the product where I would put a powder detergent, which works great.
