Didn't do what it said it would. I returned it for a refund. So I set it up first to unplug the ethernet cable from the router to power a Tivo box and Sonos speaker with Alexa built in. Both are in our home gym. Our gym couldn't always get a good enough WiFi signal for Sonos. Therefore, the connection via Ethernet was the solution. I already had an ethernet cable installed at the gym. First I connected one of these splitters to the cable and connected two. The Tivo worked fine with the first cable plugged in, but as soon as the Sonos connected, the Tivo lost connection. I then tried the configuration shown in the picture with two ethernet cables coming from the router to the splitter. Then at the end of an Ethernet cable with another splitter. nope! Same problem. I thought this configuration broke something because I had to reboot the router and the Tivo box to get it working again with my original setup. So I asked my brother who is an IT professional and he told me I need an ethernet switch. I know you might think a switch means either one or the other, but they're actually more like a splitter. So I bought a TP-Link 5-port Gigabit Ethernet network switch.
