I'm old and bald so I need to protect my scalp where I used to have very nice thick blonde hair. Nowadays I have a collection of hats. It seems like a pretty good hat for hiking, fishing, rafting, or gardening. Great price and appears to be well made. Updated, I just got back to Green River from a 6 day/5 day rafting trip down the Yampa River. This hat was an integral part of my outfit. It protected my face from the sun, shielded my eyes from the rain, and was dunked in the river several times to cool me when the sun was beating down. It's a bit dirtier, but it shows no signs of wear and all the seams still look tight. I am happy with my purchase.
