Review on Milliard 2 Inch Ventilated Memory Mattress by Lynn Hans

I have slept on the Tempurpedic Contour Mattress for 5 years now and while comfortable in the short term/first time laying down, I have always felt that it was overall too firm. I have to change my sleeping position to relieve the pressure, and even then my hips and back are tighter than ever on the cheap box spring/entry-level mattress combo. I finally decided to do something about it and research a possible mattress topper before throwing the whole mattress away. After reading reviews of latex topper, memory foam topper and bamboo topper I decided to give it a try. My logic was twofold: It was the cheapest I was considering, so if it didn't fit or was so-so, it could be taken to the spare room or thrown away without much loss. Also, many years ago I always felt that egg crate pillows were comfortable in my college rooms and I was on a 2 week cruise recently and the bed in our cabin used an egg crate style pillow and my wife and I both agreed that it was very convenient. waiting outside my front door after work, I unpacked it and put it on the guest bed for possible degassing. I didn't feel anything out of the ordinary and was dying to try it, so we changed it before we went to bed. From the first night my wife and I noticed a big difference. I toss and turn less, there are no hot spots on my hips and it's just really comfortable to lie in bed. I won't exaggerate and say it fixed my back stiffness in 3 nights, but it was *easily* a great $70 purchase to upgrade a less than amazing $3000 memory foam mattress. Are there better toppers? I have no idea - I went with this one and it does what I need. I would recommend this to anyone looking to add some comfort to their mattress at minimal cost. If it breaks quickly or whatever I will update my review and try other styles as needed.
