First I would like to comment on the build quality etc. This is a nice solid compact audio product. It came nicely packaged with the cables you need most and a small cloth carrying case. It's compact, with a few small knobs on the T-piece for various functions, and the volume wheel for on/off has a nice feel and click. I think I should say that it also has a line out if you want to connect it to a powered speaker or separate amplifier and just use the DAC. Now for the sound quality. I mostly use it to play hi-res FLAC files from my Motorola G6 phone and through a pair of Meze Neo 99s, which are over-ear headphones. While the headphones are effective, I thought the phone lacked volume and sound quality. This amp/DAC made up for it. I mainly listen to classic rock, which is mostly in the mid-range musically. These headphones have a good midrange with a good amount of bass, this amp/DAC sounds good for this type of music with these headphones on this phone.
