I bought a pair of these cameras last winter. The photos are fine and they are quite user friendly. However, I use external batteries for my cameras for extended use in the field, and these cameras have two main problems when using external power supplies. 1) Power input - 6mm plug. All power supplies/batteries and cameras I've ever used use 8mm connectors. I've searched and couldn't find a buttpack with a 6mm plug. As a result, I bought adapters from 6 to 8 mm. It might be tolerable if it wasn't. 2) The external power connector goes through the door to the camera installed in the case, not the door, which means you need to unplug the camera to open the door and plug it back in to check, to service or swap SD cards, then unplug, plug in, close door, plug back in and hope it works! Probably not a bad camera if you're willing to contend with the high cost and poor reliability of using internal batteries. But it's a VERY big deal to recommend this camera when using external power supplies. I would not recommend this product. UPDATE: Not waterproof at all. It was a rainy spring. Went for an SD card last week, the chamber was full of dirty rusty water. Downgrade from 2 to 1 star. Very disappointing. The price is too high for the quality.
