I bought L but I could have chosen XL. I'm 5ft 7" and 162lbs (18 weeks pregnant so a bit of a bump) and the L was a bit too long for me. The material feels comfortable and is very breathable. Don't expect to be warm in them if you're looking for them. The panty liner was not visible either. My iPhone 7+ fits in the pocket. I ordered a black/grey/blue combo and the black was lighter than I expected. Although I'm happy.
