Review on πŸ” OTC Locknut Socket: A Reliable Occupational Health & Safety Tool with Point Opening by Darius Carraway

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It works, so to speak. in emergency kit

Bought this 3 inch socket for wheel bearings on 2.5 ton Rockwell wheels. Basically it works, let me explain. It fits freely so you can use it, but it wants to slip off the nuts when you try to apply the recommended torque (200 ft/lbs) to the wheel bearings during initial installation. Fits snug enough, no problem. Yes, I have the right size for my application.

Pros
  • 6 points, 3-1/8" opening (shallow to shallow) with 5" depth; To determine the head size needed measure the lock nut from one plane to the other
Cons
  • I will add later
