When it comes to art I like to have multiple tools to work with. Sometimes I like to have a set of charcoal pencils that I can keep in a small case and use right away. They aren't so expensive that I would get upset if they went bad. HOW THESE ARE MADE These pencils are not sharpened. They are in a drawer with a cardboard cover. HOW THEY WORK These are decent charcoal pencils. They have a decent amount of smearing and blending abilities. I like the variety of colors as they add dimension to my work. ANY PROBLEMS? I like to have them in my suitcase, although I keep them in a plastic bag so the charcoal doesn't spill and get on everything. My paint box is available. I like her. MY RATING FIVE STARS. It's not the best willow charcoal I like to work with on really nice sketches most of the time but they work well for what they are and I use them when I'm painting outdoors.
