I expected mediocre quality, but it was a pleasant surprise.

Very good reportage zoom on FF. A workhorse that works out every. Of course, you can forget about artistic photos with this lens, but it is not intended for that. 24-70 F / 2.8 is of course a cut above in image quality, it has fully working 24mm and 70mm portraits are much more interesting, etc., but it also costs much more, despite the fact that there is no stub. The lens has a lot of minuses, but no less pluses, given its price. When choosing, decide what is more important for you, high aperture 24-70 or great versatility 24-105.

Pros

Versatility: Excellent reportage lens. The presence of a stabilizer that really works. Fast AF. Fairly light. Constant luminosity. Good design with dust and moisture protection. Good sharpness in the center of the frame. At 105mm, it is quite possible to shoot good portraits. Moderate price.

Cons

Very strong barrel for 24-30mm. Starting from 30-32mm everything is already good. Rubbish hood. No trunk blocker. Of course, I would like 2.8 aperture, but what we pay for is what we get. On crop, you deprive yourself of a wide angle.
