I have several VIAIR pumps. Unfortunately the last one was stolen. I consider this my favorite for the following reasons. Number one is the auto shut off. Many devices require you to return to the pumps to turn them off. In the past I've over-inflated the tire, going back to the pump, turning it off, then going back to the tire and reducing the air pressure to the correct level. Doable, but additional effort. Number two is the continuous duty cycle. Many gadgets can run for 15 minutes and then require a 30 minute cooldown. Although some might not care, why take the risk and disable the automatic overheat protection and wait 30 minutes. As an added bonus, I suspect the motor speed was lowered to increase run time and the unit got pretty quiet. Third, the included air gun has an air release button that makes it easy to reduce the air pressure if you've overfilled it. Fourth, the unit comes with two hoses, a dead-end tire extender, and an air gun with a gauge, so you're ready for just about anything. Fifth, the overall package is small enough to fit under the back seat of most SUVs. It's high quality and not cheap like you see at some discount stores, giving you the ability to "go to the tire shop" and saves you the hassle of finding a gas station with an air pump, a quarter piece and hoping it works for a simple airtop. The only downside I see is that the scale goes all the way up to 170. If you regularly inflate 32-pound car tires, you can add a smaller scale for more accuracy. My package also came with a threaded valve connector. Very durable, but if you use a lot of tires, the "bump" will be faster. It is sold separately. Please note the hoses I received were black which is my preference.
