I bought this kit to make duplicate car brake lines (some copper some steel). I was really impressed with the consistency of this copper pipe tool and even more amazed at its ability to properly flare old steel pipe. Quick Tips: - First tighten the FURTHER end of your leash, then tighten the closest one. - Copper linen is easy to make by hand, but steel linen requires more effort. You cannot tighten the mainshaft before expanding it by hand. You can use a wrench or hollow tube to make the handle longer for easier rotation. By buying a cheaper tool you are compromising ease of use. If you need something fast and efficient, there are better tools that cost more. If you don't mind putting in extra effort, you can get great results in a short amount of time. Overall very happy with this tool. Have used it for brake lines on two cars (one with steel tubing, the other with copper tubing) and there have been no bad seals from the flares.
