Review on Mares Trilastic 5mm Dive Boot with Sneaker Sole by Rob Dixon

I have two problems with these boots. 1) I see that the outsole material wears out after only 4 uses. 2) When a grain of sand or two gets caught in lightning, they intervene. The clasp itself and the zipper are plastic, so there is a limit to how much force you can use. Using only my hands and maximum strength, I was unable to move the zippers. It took me over 30 minutes to soak the boots in a jar of water, use a small pickaxe to remove the sand and adjust the mechanism before I was finally able to open the boots. Overall I'm wondering how well the boots will hold up and if the zips will fail completely after the sand has degraded the components over time. Unfortunately I would not recommend these boots due to the zipper issue.
