The head detaches from the base when you have batteries to make your eyes light up. Here's the problem, it only has one set screw to attach the head to the base and it keeps loosening and popping out unless you know about it and treat it with kid gloves. I had a car fixed and they didn't know about it and took the head off. Also, the eyes will light up on a timer for about 30 seconds. I would prefer it to work as a switch because I show my car at car shows and want it to be "on" while I'm showing it. Bad design all round. I kept looking for another one that hopefully another company would come up with a better design and longer lifespan.
