This is a great addition to collapsible water containers. Much less water is wasted and I stay drier when I add water to the water tank on wheels. They're not perfect (see below) but deserve five stars for being able to use collapsible water tanks when an outlet is needed. The entire spout is 7.9 inches long. as stated in the product description. However, after inserting it into the lid and screwing it onto the water tank, you can use a 6.5 inch spout. The water filler opening on my motorhome is only a few centimeters in. To pour out the rest of the water, I stack the water tank on the side of the van. Also, the base of the spout enters the water tank a little further than the sides, this is enough to prevent some of the water from spilling out. A washer or similar is required for a better seal. There will be drops. I really, really, really wish it came with a blue cap so both the faucet and funnel are ready to use instead of having to take the faucet apart to change. It would be nice to have a cap for the spout. to protect against insects and blow off dust/dirt.
