Before purchasing I researched a number of different manufacturers of this type of product. Almost everyone had reviews of the 1st and 2nd saying it broke right away. In my opinion, it's because the people who wrote the reviews didn't research how to use it properly. The metal is really soft on these instruments. But if used correctly, they won't break. The real problem with these tools is that you have to align them exactly and make sure that all threads are lubricated. The reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because the game is built in parts. When pressing on the surface of the link or sliding the rivet, you must position it exactly in the middle. It's hard and kind of annoying. If you take your time centering, you will be fine. I broke the pin pushing the rivet out but that was my fault. So remember, whether you are buying a $15 chain breaker or a $90 chain breaker, you must use it properly or it will break.
