Seems to work well - some notes on use with Sony

Used with Sony a6600 - this review is likely for use with other Sony Alpha models of the same year including a6*00 and a7*. a6600 has a built in intervalometer that works well. But no matter what you do, it's impossible to get this intervalometer working with the ride modes in brackets. I have an upcoming shoot that is urgently needed so I was looking for a solution. There is basically nothing on the subject so I bought it speculatively. Claiming that the device would actually do basic bracketing in the product listing should have been a fallback plan to get at least some bracketing. unless it does the equivalent of long-pressing the shutter button to allow for continuous bracketing. .At first the built in bracketing function of this intervalometer seemed to have nothing to do with the a6600 at all. He simply takes the prescribed number of shots, but no bracketing is applied. Also, it didn't seem possible to combine interval sequences and exposure bracketing. The exposure stop number selector replaces the number of shots with an interval. After digging through the manual it became clear that this is not the intended use case. The bracketing function is intended for a series of LONG exposure bracketing when the camera is in bulb exposure mode. I do not think so, that this is adequately conveyed in the listing. However, I had no luck. This device allows you to set the duration of the simulated button press and this feature works with the interval function, not just as a lamp mode timer. So all I had to do was set the "Long" time to something greater than 0, and the bracket I wrote on the camera was taken. You just need to know how long to set the keypress simulation relative to the time it takes for a full bracketed exposure, especially when shutter speed is rigging the camera. For normal bracketing of 3 or 5 frames, 1s is enough in most lighting conditions, but YMMV. I don't think all cheap intervalometers can make this any easier, so I'm happy. My first impression of the device is that the build quality isn't the best. I wouldn't feel safe going into the war zone with him, but it will do. The device is easy to use and the screen is easy to read. Aside from getting a better understanding of how the bracket function works, I found it self-explanatory. I hope this review will be helpful to someone. Conclusion: Enables recording with interval bracketing with Sony Alpha. that this review will be helpful to someone.
