These coats are fantastic and smart in their design. The step in, back zip design is fantastic. They are both used to step in harnesses, and this works similarly. Every other jacket they've had has shiny inner lining that gets cold, but this has soccer fleece which keeps them warm. The d-rings are metal and seem to be sewn on very well. They aren't pullers, so this works great without an additional harness. The arm and neck openings leave plenty of room for mobility even with the puffy bulk of the coats. We had the first walk today and they stayed toasty warm even as I froze. have two girls: One is older, blind, barrel shaped, and extremely patient. The other is almost 7, pointy shaped, and has no chill when it comes to pullovers or fastening around the belly. I got one for each in large (they're both about 18lbs) and they fit great. It works for both their shapes and temperaments.We have used Gooby harnesses for years and they are great quality that lasts. Really loving these coats so far, too.
