This case is perfect for my MacBook's outer base cover without bulking up, while the thin plastic cover isn't meant for harsh environments (no case really is). Protect your laptop from cosmetic damage over time. As some have noted, the bottom does not cover the hinge point, but I like opening the laptop up and it's necessary for you to be able to do it. I am very happy with the gray color of the case, which perfectly complements the beautiful space gray color of my MacBook. The case is slightly transparent, allowing the Apple logo to show through slightly. This is an excellent and well-designed case for its value and I recommend anyone with a MacBook consider this affordable protection for their investment.
