Review on Tablet ASUS Nexus 7 (2013) by Stanislaw Kosciukiew ᠌

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Some minuses and no pluses, do not buy.

At my house I have a dual-band router that I bought from the store. When I turned it on, an error message indicating that a Google process of some kind had failed to complete appeared on the screen. In the best tradition of Chinese phones, the wifi saw only 2.4 GHz. The intensity of the wifi signal is really weak. There is a break in the connection. The nearby phone and tablet is a Samsung tab3, and the level there is a four out of a possible five. Even when the setting is set to "only 5GHz," the 5GHz channel does not see anything close to the router. And other users noted that it gets fairly hot, despite the fact that I didn't even load it half way, and there are no toys on it because I used it for the Internet. Although the buttons that rotate with the screen are handy, the strip that covers a centimeter of the view is distracting. The resolution is high for such a diagonal, so movies can be watched on it; however, reading and viewing pages is difficult because you have to zoom in. This makes it inconvenient. You must continuously move, move, as the buttons are always present on the screen. The difficulty level has increased. A vicious loop, in general. The device contains a SIM card; however, there is no way to use it. At the very least, they could have left a text message. The battery can only shakily endure around half of what was declared, and charging it takes an extremely lengthy time. In general, I had the patience for a week's worth of waiting. I wanted to get a tablet that was identical to the one my wife has, so I went shopping. After having used Sam's Ungom for a few days, I returned the Asus with a smile on my face to the store where I purchased it. I did not experience any of the problems that were mentioned; the battery lasted eight hours with the navigator turned on, there was no heating, and the screen size was just right.

Pros
  • Nimble
Cons
  • It gets hot, has a weak battery, catches wifi poorly, you can neither call nor send an SMS nor check your balance, the buttons on the screen eat up part of the already short diagonal, and there is no place for a memory card. It is not recommended.
