It works, be sure to watch several YouTube videos before you start.

There's more to this kit than just suction cups, but if you're going to open your iMac, make sure you have an (older) model with a magnet-mounted screen. Many newer models have adhesive as well, I don't know what it takes to remove the screen once it's attached with adhesive. BE VERY CAREFUL with CONNECTIONS between shield and internal circuitry.
