They're pleasantly cheap and while the wire isn't the actual 18 AWG as advertised, it's probably closer to 20 AWG (the wires are marked 2 x 0.6mm^2, which is a bit is less than 19 AWG). I've used crimp terminals with them, and on cheap crimp terminals, the 22-18 AWG terminal slipped off immediately after crimping. After purchasing higher quality crimping machines I had no more problems, I've successfully cut about 60 of these braids. I bought another brand to compare and they were MUCH thinner. The ones I received seemed defective. I would (and will) buy them again for future projects.
