This is a durable plastic case. It's a bit slippery as you would expect from smooth plastic. It has non-slip rubber feet that increase its stability. My computer is carried around in a wheeled backpack every day and used between work and home for about 8 hours a day. It has small scratches and the corners are beginning to chip. If you use and transport your computer like I do, you may find the same chips and scratches. If not, then this is a great opportunity for you. At least it protected my new MacBook Pro until I find another one.
