I'm giving this patch four stars for construction and six stars for the Sick Sad World patch which gives an average of five stars. The embroidery on the patch is excellent, it looks a little better in real than on the picture. But the brown ring around the edge of the patch isn't embroidery, it's the brown fabric base that makes up the brown logo rings. The edge of the patch is unfinished, but the black embroidery around the edge keeps the different layers of the patch firmly together. You could definitely trim the patch yourself. The glued back looks good, but I can't say anything about the quality because I only ever sew on the patches. I would advise you to sew this patch even if you are using a heat sensitive backing, especially as this patch has a raw edge. Aside from the lack of piping, I love everything about this patch. It looks *like* the Sick Sad World logo! I'm a huge fan of the Daria series and this is exactly the kind of fandom loot I'm aiming for - something that needs to be seen or read to understand where it's coming from. I've never seen the "Sick Sad World" patch before. For $4 this patch is totally worth it, even with the rough edges! This is the third patch I've bought from U-Sky. I already have a ginkgo leaf and a patch that looks like two "X" shaped patches. I love all three of these patches and will likely get more in the future.
