don't leave me hanging now! - Thermostats
Most thermostats "don't close" - the car will overheat and explode if the thermostat fails (well, not exactly blown but could result in a seal cylinder heads). failing etc.) - this thermostat won't open - so the motor just won't get hot - which is a sign the thermostat is bad - worth the extra bucks.
