It's heavy, which is a good thing since it's clearly made mostly of metal (aluminum). Where your laptop fits, there are rubber pads on both sides and bottom to protect your device. And the whole bottom is rubber, which prevents it from scratching and moving on tables. The finish has a nice look, with a color scheme that's not too far off the silver MacBook, just a little shinier. You can easily adjust the hole width with the four hex screws on the bottom and the included wrench. This allows you to install it on the thickest and thinnest laptops or tablets. I am very happy with this stand and hope it doesn't take up too much space when connected to the charger on my desk.
