This is a tough review. When I received the lamp, I initially had some trouble installing it. I contacted the seller and he responded within minutes! Not expected at all. This was something I had overlooked and I was able to install with no problems. So let me say one good thing first: It's brighter than the series. just a little. And it's inexpensive. Okay, about the bad: I took it down a country road with no street lights, and performance was nominal. To prove it, I turned on my high beams and saw if I would be struck by a flash from oncoming drivers. I've driven at least 40-50 cars and none of them blinked their high beams at me. Tell. But since it was slightly better than the stock and the price was right, I wanted to keep it. But the next day while out for a walk I stopped at my local dealer and noticed the new light was off. I drove home and removed it, thinking the connectors might have come loose. There weren't any, so I plugged in a standard device and it caught fire. Looks like a bad unit. Why is this a harsh review? Well the company seems to have well done people and make the customer happy. I know they would have sent me a different unit, but I had serious quality control concerns. The problem with this headlight is that if it fails and you're on the road (like me, a long-distance racer) you're done! You just can't go to the AutoZone and buy a new lightbulb. Prices for these lights range from $50 to $500. I've read that due to this issue, it's best to spend the extra $ and get a premium unit. So back to Raven.
