I've just started growing my beard for the first time and bought this kit along with the beard oil and balm and it really is a great product. Let me start with the box it comes in, yes the box. This black box with magnetic closure shows how much Repsol Care cares about quality and details. I would love to use this box to carry my brush, comb, oil and balm but unfortunately there is very little space when the brush and comb are in the box. The drawstring pouch feels strong enough to last while still being soft. just enough not to damage the brush and comb. Unlike the box, the bag has extra space so I can fit my brush, comb, oil and conditioner in it for a convenient bag. It's great when I'm late for work or traveling I can easily take it with me and when I have free time I have a beard grooming kit handy. The comb is handcrafted from wood, you can definitely tell by the teeth on the comb. Each one is a little different, showing the time and care that goes into each comb and feeling solid in the hand. The only issue I have with the comb is that the teeth are a little further apart than I would prefer but it still works great for me and the fact that I don't get static like a plastic comb, makes it totally worth it. The brush is a boar hair brush. Now that I'm growing my beard for the first time, it didn't mean much to me. I could tell from the description that it helped distribute the oils evenly throughout the beard, but that's about it. So, I'm going to tell you that boar hair is a bit tough. You can rub it all over your face a few times and it won't hurt or even make your skin red, but it's not something you want to comb your beard with all day. But it definitely does its job. It holds oils very well and disperses them throughout the beard giving it a healthy shine.
