ingenious! Great for kittens, the elderly, the sick and infirm

I had a three legged cat who lived to be 21 years old. If only we had had it in his lifetime. He couldn't walk/jump over the edge of the tray and we had to teach him how to use the pee pads. If I knew about it, it would be perfect. When you push down the sides, they only rise a few inches and any small or fragile cat can easily get inside. It's perfect for small kittens, elderly people with arthritis, sick people etc. I now have two older cats, one with arthritis the other just frail and both have chosen to use these over the high sided steel they usually have use. a slit the width of my finger (see photo) that runs all the way around the rim of the pan. If the cat doesn't squat in the middle, urine will enter this gap. This has happened to me twice and I had a hard time getting out without losing all the kitty litter inside. So now I'll take a pee pad and stuff it in so if they miss, the pad will catch it.

Pros
  • Great selection
Cons
  • Long time
