Review on πŸ”Œ Hopkins 48510 Endurance Die-Cast 7-Way RV Blade Trailer End Plug by Justin Coatsworth

Sturdy construction, wiring could be better

This was a useful update to our trailer's factory fork which seldom made a good connection without dragging the corroded contacts. Contacts look good. The included bracket is a nice bonus, although you'll probably want to use different screws when attaching it to your trailer's tongue steel beams - those 'self-drilling' screws won't cut it and something with a hex head makes it easy to apply the torque needed to biting steel is required. The only reason I'm removing the star is because the black plastic end of the connector where the wire goes in has a central screw and internal standoffs that make it unnecessarily difficult to route a thick bundle of wires. I still recommend this and would buy this again, but save your time and be careful how you route the wires through the barrel before you connect the wires to the connector; It will probably be easier if you split the harness and route the wires half over and half under the center screw.
