Good design. Used for a small ceramic wood fire pizza oven. The opening is between 11 and 12" so this worked with plenty of room. I wanted a pan with holes in the bottom to make sure no moisture was trapped. I am still working to get the temperature even so I did end up flipping my calzone but this wasn't a problem at all with this pan. I would recommend also getting the pan grabber tool. You want to solidly grab the pan from the oven and it makes turning the pan for even cooking very simple.
